B.E.S.T Mathematics Parent Resources
Florida’s Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards for Mathematics were adopted by the State Board of Education (SBE) on February 12, 2020. Additionally, on September 23, 2020, the SBE approved the amendment to Rule 6A-1.09412, Course Requirements – Grades K-12 Basic and Adult Secondary Programs.

Parent Guides for Mathematics
The B.E.S.T. Parent Guides for Mathematics assist families in understanding the mathematical concepts being learned and how they can support their students’ progress at home. The guides include key mathematical concepts and skills students will learn each school year, academic terms, practical activities to build mathematical understanding at home and questions families can ask teachers to support their child’s success. Each guide is aligned to Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards for Mathematics. Please note that the instructional guides will continue to undergo edits as necessary.
