Florida Advanced Course Test (FACT)
Section 1007.35, Florida Statutes, establishes advanced courses developed by the Florida Department of Education in collaboration with public postsecondary institutions as an additional acceleration option for students. The Department has collaborated with secondary and postsecondary faculty to develop a high school advanced mathematics course and associated assessment, the Florida Advanced Course Test (FACT) College Algebra, that will offer students an opportunity to earn college credit in college algebra.
The Department is launching a pilot of FACT College Algebra in the 2025–26 academic year, coordinated by the Division of Florida Colleges Florida Student Success Center (FSSC). Full statewide implementation is scheduled for the 2026–27 school year.
