Military Certification Examinations

A passing score on a Florida subject area examination for bachelor’s level subjects is required. Detailed information for the subject area exams and military waiver instructions are available on the FTCE/FELE Certification webpage.

Examinations Guidance

• The Exceptional Student Education (ESE) K–12 exam is not applicable for the Military Certification Pathway.
• Registration fees for initial attempts on any certification examinations will be waived for educator candidates granted Military Certification Fee Waiver (MCFW) eligibility.
  • The Military Waiver registration is available at the Certification Fee Waivers page.
  • MCFW is automatically uploaded in the FTCE/FELE database.
