Child Care & Development Fund (CCDF) Plan for Florida

CCDF State Plan

The Division of Early Learning (DEL) is the lead agency responsible for developing the CCDF State Plan. The School Readiness Program is funded primarily by CCDF. Each state must submit detailed information regarding how the state ensures the affordability, availability and quality of child care.

The CCDF State Plan for 2025-2027 (PDF) is effective October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2027.

CCDF Waiver

The Administration for Children and Families, Office of Child Care, granted DEL's request for transitional and legislative waivers. These waivers provide additional time for Florida to implement specificed provisions in the 2024 CCDF Final Rule.

CCDF appendix

The Administration for Children and Families, Office of Child Care, accepted DEL's Appendix, which identifies the areas for which Florida received waivers and the state's action plans to implement provisions in the 2024 CCDF Final Rule.

CCDF Quality Progress Report

Every year, DEL submits a Quality Progress Report (QPR) to the Admionistration for Children and Families OCC. This report details CCDF-funded activities and progress made toward improving the quality of child care in Florida.

The 2024 QPR (PDF) covers the period October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024.
