VPK Curriculum
VPK Curriculum Review
Section 1002.67(2)(c), Florida Statutes (F.S.), requires the Department of Education (DOE) to approve curricula for use by Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) providers that are placed on probation as a result of falling below the minimum provider performance metric and designation. The VPK curriculum submission and approval process will identify the highest quality curricula, including proprietary curricula, aligned with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards for use by these providers. The VPK Curriculum publisher submission period will be open March 25, 2026- May 9, 2026.
VPK Curriculum for Providers on Probation
Each private VPK provider and public school identified as a provider on probation must implement an approved curriculum that is developmentally appropriate, designed to prepare a student for early literacy, provide for instruction in early math skills, enhance age-appropriate progress of students in attaining the performance standards adopted by the department and support student learning gains through differentiated instruction that shall be measured by the coordinated screening and progress monitoring programs.
