Announcing the New Florida Mathematics (K-12) Endorsement and Competencies (PDF)
On July 22, 2026, the State Board of Education approved Rule 6A-4.0166, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), establishing the Florida Mathematics Endorsement, and Rule 6A-4.0167, F.A.C., establishing Florida Mathematics Endorsement Competencies.
The establishment of the endorsement and competencies is another step toward implementing the Department’s vision to improve mathematics instruction and achievement for all Florida students. The rules can be viewed in their entirety at the links above and are effective August 25, 2026.
