Miami-Dade County Public Schools District Office Visit

Miami, Fla., August 6, 2025 –Commissioner of Education Anastasios Kamoutsas met with Superintendent José Dotres, the Miami-Dade County School Board, and district cabinet members during a visit to the Miami-Dade County Public Schools District Office. The Commissioner also attended new teacher induction events and visited schools across the district.

At Miami Springs Senior High School, Commissioner Kamoutsas engaged with new educators, toured classrooms, and observed innovative programs that highlight Miami-Dade’s commitment to student success. From health science labs to leadership roundtables, the day showcased the district’s collaborative approach to preparing students for both college and career pathways.

The visit underscored Florida’s commitment to supporting educators, expanding workforce readiness programs, and ensuring students across the state have access to high-quality instruction.
