Florida Teacher of the Year Celebration

Christie Bassett, a K-12 Art Teacher at Highlands Grove Elementary School in Polk County, was named the 2015 Florida Department of Education/Macy's Teacher of the Year. First Lady Ann Scott joined Commissioner of Education Pam Stewart to make the announcement at an awards gala honoring the state's top teachers.
