Spring B.E.S.T. Mathematics Coaches Summit

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., April 7-8, 2026 – The Bureau of Standards and Instructional Support (BSIS) hosted the Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Mathematics Summit Professional Learning event on April 7 and 8 in Palm Beach Gardens. These professional learning events occur throughout the year to engage teachers in coaching cycles grounded in mathematical tasks. Participants learn how to use student data to drive instructional decision making and provide feedback. They are also provided with the opportunity to practice coaching conversations centered on balancing conceptual and procedural learning.

Through these professional learning sessions, participants deepen their coaching practices, strengthen their mathematical expertise and collaborate with regional colleagues to develop shared strategies that enhance mathematics teaching and learning across the state.
