America250FL Statewide Welding & Fabrication Challenge

Tallahassee, Fla., June 23, 2026 - To celebrate the 250^th anniversary of our nation’s founding, the Florida Department of Education hosted the first-ever America250FL Statewide Welding & Fabrication Challenge. The challenge encouraged students from Florida’s public secondary and postsecondary institutions to showcase their technical skills and creativity by producing original metalworks. Designed for permanent display, the projects will serve as enduring reminders of this historic celebration.
