Middle School Resources
Middle school students are able to work fairly independently, so we hope parents are enjoying watching their student(s) excel in this distance learning environment. Below we’ve put together a list of resources that will challenge students and also be a resource should parents need assistance while helping their child through a particular concept.

Age of Learning
Age of Learning is offering free home access to ABCmouse, a learning resource for ages 2 to 8; Adventure Academy, for students ages 8 to 13; and ReadingIQ, a digital library and literacy platform is available for children 12 and under.
Renaissance
Working together to support your students during unexpected school closures. Renaissance provides digital solutions to assist students and families learning from home.
Great Minds
Great Minds offers free access to “Knowledge on the Go” lessons in Math, Language Arts and Science for K-8 students and high school level math courses.
Time for Kids
As the world asks more of families and teachers, TIME for Kids salutes you, and we're here to support you! TIME for Kids is in the unique position to help kids understand this unprecedented moment.
National Hurricane Center
With all of us learning and working from home, the National Hurricane Center will be conducting webinars about hurricanes for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders living in U.S. states and territories along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts. These webinars will focus on the job of a meteorologist, the weather hazards that come with hurricanes, and how meteorologists get you the weather information you need before a storm. TGR EDU
Use these interactive resources, designed for grades 6-12, to develop problem-solving and decision-making skills with real-world applications in college access and STEM learning.
Carolina
Carolina Biological Supply Company is committed to supporting parents, teachers, and school districts during this educational disruption with learn-from-home resources for middle school. You will find free science activities for teachers and students that are safe and require minimal materials. In addition, you will find parent resources and links to activities that can be purchased and used safely and productively at home with middle-school-aged kids.
Civic Learning: National Constitution Center
The National Constitution Center team is supporting remote learning with free lectures and civil dialogue sessions on the Constitution that students across America can access online. Beginning March 23, we will offer daily live constitutional conversations for middle school, high school, and college students, available through Zoom, and accessible on home computer, laptop, or phone.
Math Nation
The Lastinger Center at University of Florida is opening up digital access to Math Nation to any district in the country free of charge through August 31, 2020; https://mathnation.com/learnmore/.
Finance Your Future
These online courses strive to be a comprehensive, yet simple overview of various financial topics like banking, budgeting and saving, credit and debt, insurance and financial frauds and scams. These courses are designed for middle and high school students as well as parents, teachers and other adults. This program is approved by the Department of Education as meeting the Financial literacy standards and contains modules, assessments and an instructor portal to assist teachers with implementation of this program.
North American Scholastic Esports Federation
North American Scholastic Esports Federation launched free daily “Community Club” sessions for students. These are interactive online gatherings to provide activities, socialization (without physical contact), development of game skills, and insights into the careers and lives of professionals working in the esports industry.
Matific
Matific is offering 60-day complimentary access for all schools impacted by, or preparing for, Coronavirus closures. Matific’s thousands of activities and worksheets cover every concept students learn in K-6 mathematics, and is available on all devices, including the web, iOS, Android and Kindle Fire. ST Math
ST Math is offering free access to parents and educators to their interactive math curriculum geared towards K-8 grade level students through June 30, 2020.
Scholastic
Scholastic created free resources to provide all students with 20 days worth of instructional materials at www.scholastic.com/learnathome.
Imagine Learning
Imagine Learning offers online language development lessons for K-8 students, including Math and Literacy Programs, geared towards keeping students, parents and educators engaged in academics and language development during this time.
