Health Education Rules Implementation Plans

Required Instruction Reporting Procedures

In May 2024 the State Board of Education amended Rule 6A-1.094124, Florida Administrative Code, (F.A.C.), Required Instruction Planning and Reporting to include updates related to reporting procedures for required instruction topics. Pursuant to State Board of Education Rule 6A-1.094124, F.A.C, school districts must annually submit a Required Instruction Implementation Plan that describes how instruction will be provided for topics in Section (s.) 1003.42(2)(a)-(o) and (q)-(u), Florida Statutes (F.S.), for the upcoming school year by July 1. The Implementation Plan and RI-1 form must be submitted electronically to the Florida Instructional Materials and Library Media District Certifications and Plans Portal available at https://districts.flimadoption.org/. Additionally, districts using new materials for reproductive health, as specified in s. 1003.42(1)(b), F.S., must submit these materials to the Department using the Required Instruction Implementation Plan. If materials have not changed, no submissions are necessary. The memorandum regarding this update is available here.

Except for the 2024-25 school year, the implementation plan is due no later than July 1.
