DID YOU KNOW? 90% of students who fail to earn a high school diploma were struggling readers in third-fifth grade. If your student is struggling to read, we recommend that you look into additional services funded by the state of Florida that may be available to your child to help ensure they continue to reach their goals!
The State of Florida funds Reading Scholarship Accounts for struggling readers – a $500 scholarship that can be used for tutoring and other services - that your child may be eligible for! If you would like further information, please email reading@sufs.org, or call us at 877-735-7837.
The application process is easy! To apply you will need:
Your students 2018-19 ELA score report. If you do not know your students ELA score, contact their school or contact the Assessment Coordinator.
- Your student’s FLEID number that can be found on the front of your child’s ELA score report.
- The public-school district code and DOE code from the school your student attended in the 2018-19 school year here.
