The Florida Department of Education works closely with school districts before, during and after natural disasters to ensure they have the resources necessary to resume normal operations as quickly as possible. Early Learning Coalition Closures
- Hillsborough Remote operations Tuesday, October 15, and Wednesday October 16, 2024.
- IRMO (Indian River, Martin, and Okeechobee) Resumed normal operations in Martin County. Offices in Indian River temporarily closed due to hurricane damage.
- Lake Resumed normal operations Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
- Osceola Resumed normal operations Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
- Pinellas Resuming in-person (Clearwater only) and remote operations on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Services limited to meeting immediate needs of families and providers.
- Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA - Immokalee) RCMA headquarters is operating normally. As of Tuesday, October 15, 2024, most providers have re-opened. Obtaining the status of several providers in Hillsborough, Indian River, and Manatee who have not re-opened.
Vocational Rehabilitation Office Closures
VR buildings in Tampa, Largo and Sarasota are closed, however staff are available to customers by phone and email.
