CAPE CTC Registration
The information below provides guidance on the registration of CTCs, including timelines, requirements, and supporting resources.
Registration windows are outlined in the CAPE Planner, and each district is required to use the Department’s Single Sign-On (SSO) system to complete CTC registrations. Information on not approved registrations is also provided and includes courses and certifications that have previously been submitted but are not permitted. Forms related to dual enrollment registration and non-career education courses are available on this page.

CTC Do’s and Don’ts
The CTC Dos and Don’ts outlined below are to assist education leaders and administrators in the completion process for registering CTC’s during open application windows.
Don’ts
- Register industry certifications to courses that the teacher does not hold the industry certification or a higher level.
- If multiple teachers are teaching the course in a school, all teachers must hold the certification prior to registration of the course.
- Register certifications for a course that does not prepare students to take the exam.
- Register industry certifications to a course that does not have any enrollment at that school.
- Forget to have your superintendent certify the registrations.
- Forget to pull the Career-Themed Courses Status Report – Secondary and Career-Themed Courses Status Report – Dual Enrollment and verify your districts registrations.
Do’s
- Only register certifications to courses where all teachers teaching the course hold the certification or a higher level.
- Register certifications to course that meet the definition of a CTC outlined in section (s.) 1003.493, Florida Statutes (F.S.).
- Register industry certifications to a course that students are preparing to earn in the course.
- Have your superintendent certify the registrations.

Non-CTE courses can be requested for addition to the CTC registration application.
