2025 Assistant Principal of the Year

Dr. Bryan Alvaré

Dr. Bryan Alvaré
Yulee Middle School
Nassau County

Dr. Alvaré’s efforts played an instrumental role in Yulee Middle School’s third consecutive school grade of “A.” He is an “idea guy,” who consistently challenges the status quo, consistently looking for ways to fine tune current practice. As Assistant Principal, he decreased student discipline referrals by 29% over the past five years. Dr. Alvaré also established an All-Pro Dad chapter, with approximately 100 students and their fathers, and collaborated with the local community to raise $5,000 to provide breakfast at no cost to the families. Always looking for ways to improve and increase his knowledge, Dr. Alvaré recently earned his doctoral degree from Southeastern University. His research focused on middle school teacher self-efficacy and receptivity to and implementation of small-group instruction.
