Pre-Collegiate Programs
The Office of Pre-Collegiate Programs provides administrative and fiscal oversight to state funded academic programs that provide activities and services for low-performing, at-risk students in all public schools, with a primary focus on students in low-performing middle and high schools. Programs are designed to motivate students to pursue a postsecondary education; to enhance students’ basic learning skills and performance; to strengthen students’ and parents’ understanding of the benefits of postsecondary education; and to foster academic, personal, and career development through supplemental instruction and professional development opportunities for teachers and school administrators.
The Office of Pre-Collegiate Programs offers technical assistance, strategies and resources to assist students, schools, parents and community organizations throughout the state of Florida. Our efforts ensure students have access to innovative programs in which funds are used to enhance students’ opportunities for access, advancement and achievement.
