Tallahassee, Fla., May 23, 2025 – Today, Florida Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz, Jr. announced March’s chosen books for the Commissioner’s Book of the Month, a monthly reading challenge to promote literacy and reading engagement in preK-12 schools.
Each month, Commissioner Diaz highlights five recommended books– one per selected grade range. For this month’s selection, the Commissioner recommended books that are included on Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards reading list for grades K-12.
“This Memorial Day, we honor the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting our nation,” said Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz, Jr. “It is because of their courage and resilience, we continue to live in the land of the free.”
