HOT TOPICS
  • Beginning July 1, 2012, a new function is being added to the FASTER postsecondary transcript application. Finalized documents which describe the FASTER component of the new Financial Aid Transient Student process are available for you to view. After you read the instructions and attachments, please contact the FASTER staff at FSTR@fldoe.org with any questions, comments or concerns about the FASTER changes that are going to take place . Any changes that occur before the July 1 implementation date will be communicated via the FASTER Listserv. SPEEDE requirements are still in progress, and will be shared with the postsecondary community as soon as they are available.
  • The 2011-2012 FASTER annual cutover was held the weekend of December 9th. Dates and deadlines for the cutover can be found on the Implementation Issues page. Details of the changes occurring in the cutover can be found on the Change Summary document.
  • It is always our intent to service your request as efficiently and proactively as possible. If you have technical questions concerning the processing of FASTER records, you may contact us at FSTR@fldoe.org. Please include the details of your question or request in your e-mail.
  • High Schools must direct questions regarding ‘missing’ or rejected transcripts first to their district offices BEFORE contacting DOE. Districts receive an Edit Error Report each time they submit a batch of transcripts and can provide information on reject reasons. In addition, transcripts which post successfully to the mailbox, but fail Bright Futures edits, are listed on the district’s Incoming Aging Report.
