Private School Requirements
Adults With Disabilities Workforce Education Pilot Program
Private School Requirements
Private schools that are eligible to participate in the Pilot Program may be sectarian or nonsectarian, and must:
- Be academically accountable for meeting the educational needs of the student by annually providing to the provider of supported employment services a written explanation of the student's progress
- Comply with the Federal antidiscrimination provisions of 42 U.S.C. s. 2000d
- Meet state and local health and safety laws and codes
- Provide to the provider of supported employment services all documentation required for a student's participation, including the private school's and student's fee schedules, at least 30 days before any quarterly scholarship payment is made for the student. In order for a student to receive the September 1 payment, the Private School General Fee Schedule and Private School Student Fee Schedule must be submitted no later than August 2nd.
The inability of a private school to meet these requirements constitutes a basis for the private school to be ineligible to participate in the pilot program.
