Tech Chat! – Professional Development Models

For this March edition of Tech Chat! we heard from a few of our districts about what models and best practices they are using to provide high-quality, authentic professional development to teachers and staff. To start the webinar, Marian O’Leary and Lauren Hobbs from Dell EMC teamed up with St. Lucie County Chief Information Officer Terence O’Leary to discuss the benefits and outcomes of their partnership for providing professional development and other services to teachers and students. Also presenting from Volusia County were Caitlyn Distler and Melanie Kestory. They shared some of the innovative methods they are using to deliver professional development. Finally, we heard from Bradley Smrstick from Hillsborough who gave us an overview of Project Innovate, a Hillsborough County technology initiative.
