Title: Step Ahead to Success Farm worker Youth Program

Purpose: To increase the educational achievement and social skills of farm worker youth by stabilizing their families through parental involvement activities and increasing their knowledge of careers and the workplace.

Authorization: Workforce Investment Act, Title I, Section 167 (National Programs)

Target Audience: Eligible migrant and seasonal farm worker youth between the ages of 14-21.

Grant Amount: PY’2001 (April 1, 2001 – March 31, 2002) is $700,000

Average Project

Amount: $55,000

Eligible Applicants: Florida Department of Education approved projects.
