George H. Noell, PhD, BCBA
Dr. Noell is a professor of psychology at Louisiana State University and is Executive Director for Strategic Research and Analysis at the Louisiana Department of Education. His research and service has focused on improving children’s access to a high quality education and effective mental health services for those in need. His early work focused on improving the quality and implementation of treatment plans for children in need of psychological services. Dr. Noell developed the Louisiana value added assessment of teacher preparation, which is a statewide assessment linking student achievement to teacher preparation. At the Department of Education his work has focused on developing analytic information systems that can guide systemic delivery of educational services to students and to build capacity to conduct time sensitive analyses that can inform policy and program decisions. Dr. Noell’s scholarship has been acknowledged by election to scholarly societies, awards, research journal editorial board appointments, and an appointment as editor-in-chief.
