Brevard County School Named a Finalist in Recycling Contest
Lockmar Elementary School in Brevard County is one of 10 finalists in the nationwide
Box that Rocks Design Contest sponsored by TerraCycle, a national recycling system program for previously non-recyclable or hard-to-recycle waste. The school's "Energy Action Patrol" created Terracycle Rex - a recycling box decorated to look like a dinosaur and covered with items from the recycle bin - to help educate students about the importance of conserving energy, terracycling and what products can be recycled.
