Four Florida Students Selected as 2010 U.S. Presidential Scholars

Four outstanding Florida high school students have been named 2010 U.S. Presidential Scholars in recognition of their academic achievement, service, leadership and creativity. Their accomplishments are a reflection of Floridaís ongoing commitment to produce the nationís best and brightest students and represent what is possible through hard work and a commitment to purpose. Congratulations!

The Florida 2010 U.S. Presidential Scholars are:

  • Brooke M. Griffin, Dr. Phillips High School, Orange County
  • Blaine A. Krauss*, Gibbs Senior High School, Pinellas County
  • Tyler C. Laprade, Palm Bay High School, Brevard County
  • Patrick G. Mangan, John Paul II Catholic High School, Leon County
* - Indicates a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts
