Lee County School Gets Grant
Bonita Springs Middle School in Lee County was recently awarded a Lowe’s Toolbox for Education Grant totaling $4,565. Funds from the grant will be used to enhance the school’s Edible School Yard Garden with the purchase of plants, mulch, gardening tools, carts and fertilizer. Students and school staff have created an innovative edible outdoor classroom where hands-on activities and lessons aligned with the Sunshine State Standards are taught.
