Brevard School Earns National Ranking
Merritt Island Launch Area (MILA) Elementary School in Brevard County recently received national recognition as a National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) STARS School, one of only 44 in the nation to ever receive the distinction. The NASPE STARS initiative honors physical education programs that model the essential elements for quality physical education and provides meaningful learning opportunities for all students. The school will be recognized next March during the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance annual convention in Indianapolis, Ind.
