State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota Provost Named Among Great 100 Nurses
Dr. Bonnie Hesselberg, provost at State College of Florida (SCF), Manatee-Sarasota Lakewood Ranch campus and dean of nursing at SCF, was recently named one of the Great 100 Nurses by the Florida Nurses Association (FNA). Hesselberg has worked as a nurse and educator for the past 30 years and was honored for her excellence in nursing practice at the 2009 FNA Centennial Celebration in September. While at SCF, she secured funding to expand a successful associate in science nursing program and helped develop a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program slated to begin in January 2010.
