Kennedy Center For Performing Arts Lauds Polk Schools
The John F. Kennedy Center For the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., announced that the Polk County Public Schools have been chosen as the 21st annual recipient of the Kennedy Center’s Alliance for Arts Education Network and National School Boards Association Award. This award is bestowed annually to a school district for its outstanding arts education programs. The school district will receive $10,000 for winning the award.
The Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network (KCAAEN) is a coalition of statewide non-profit Alliances for Arts Education working in partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to support policies, practices, programs, and partnerships that ensure the arts are an essential part of American K-12 education.
