Hamilton County Student Awarded $180,000 ROTC Scholarship
Chad Billington, a senior at Hamilton County High School, has received a $180,000 Navy ROTC scholarship. Cadet Lt. Col. Billington was awarded the prestigious scholarship after participating in a highly competitive national selection process.As the unit commander of the Hamilton County High School ROTC, Chad has led with distinction and honor while maintaining a 3.5 GPA in college courses. He is a member of the BETA Club, the Student Government Association, the varsity football team and the track team.
The $180,000 scholarship, which can be used at more than 160 colleges and universities, will cover tuition, books and related college expenses up to four years. Upon graduation, he will receive help with job placement. Chad has been accepted to the University of Florida, where he will major in pharmacy.
