Marion Technical Institute Named Model School
Ocala’s Marion Technical Institute (MTI) has been selected as a Model High School by the International Center for Leadership in Education. Open since August 2005, MTI is one of only 25 high schools nationwide to be chosen.
Model Schools are selected based on rigorous and relevant curriculum, personalized instruction, increased student learning time, parent and community involvement and the use of data when making instructional decisions. As a model school, MTI will join more than 600 schools in the International Center’s Successful Practices Network, where they will be able to exchange instructional practices and successful methodologies with their peers.
Also this summer, Principal Mark Vianello and his staff will have the opportunity to share their best educational practices at the 16th Annual Model Schools Conference in Orlando June 22-25. The conference, sponsored by the International Center, attracts thousands of educators from across the country.
