Polk Superintendent Named Administrator of the Year by Music Association

Polk County Superintendent Gail F. McKinzie, Ph.D. was announced as the 2007-2008 Administrator of the Year by the Florida Music Educators’ Association. The annual award is presented to the administrator who demonstrates passionate support of school music programs and music education.

Dr. McKinzie was honored previously in 2007 as Superintendent of the Year by the Florida Art Education Association and, also in 2007, Polk County received the School Board of Excellence Award from the Florida Alliance for Arts Education for outstanding arts education programs.
