Naples High School Junior Wins State Moot Court Championship

Russell Pierson, a junior from Naples High School, won the 3rd Annual State Moot Court Championship. The three-day competition was held in Tallahassee, Fla., at the Florida Supreme Court. Russell was involved in various activities to capture the grand prize, including writing a brief, oral arguments, and working on an appeals case. Chief Justice R. Fred Lewis and the Florida Law Related Education, Inc., presented him the first place award when the competition concluded.

The Moot Court competition is a student-centered, hands-on, law-related civic education training opportunity offered by the Tallahassee-based Florida Law Related Education Association.
