Florida Virtual School Latin Club Students Win at State Latin Forum

Seven Florida Virtual School (FLVS) Latin Club members who participated in the Florida State Latin Forum scored in the top 10 places in their individual challenge exercises. More than 1,100 students from 50 schools around the state participated in the three-day competition where they competed in academic, creative, and athletic events.

FLVS Latin Club member Randall Kidd (10th grade, Maitland, Fla.) received first place awards in Derivatives Two and Hellenic History. His accomplishments earned him a double first place prize. Other top winners for the FLVS Latin Club included Jessica Wise (11th grade, Daytona Beach) first place in Textiles Two; Kira Peterman (9th grade, St. Cloud) first place in Greek Derivatives; and Ben Smith (9th grade, Vero Beach) third place in Maps.
