Hillsborough County Schools Selected to Participate in National Project
The College Board recently announced that the Hillsborough County Public Schools have been selected to participate in a project to overcome the "advantage gap" among students in urban school districts.
The four-year project, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, aims to increase the level of student aspirations and academic performance while preparing more students for postsecondary success.
Four Hillsborough County high schools will participate in the project: East Bay, Leto, Middleton and Plant City high schools. The participating middle schools that feed into the high schools are Sligh, Jennings, Memorial, Eisenhower, Pierce, Webb, Tomlin and Marshall.
