School Environmental Safety Incident Reporting (SESIR) System - District & State Reports

The School Environmental Safety Incident Reporting (SESIR) System collects data on 26 incidents of crime, violence, and disruptive behaviors that occur on school grounds, on school transportation, and at off-campus, school-sponsored events, during any 24-hour period, 365 days per year. Incidents are reported by schools to the districts which, in turn, provide the data to the DOE. The annual Statewide Report on School Safety and Discipline Data report includes:

  • an analysis of the SESIR and Discipline data statewide
  • data totals and trends statewide
  • totals and trends by individual district

Data for 2004-05 and beyond is available from the Office for Safe Schools

  • 2003-2004 Report includes data from 2001-2004
  • 2002-2003 Report includes data from 2000-2003
  • 2001-2002 Report includes data from 1999-2002
  • 2000-2001 Report includes data from 1998-2001
  • 1998-1999 Report includes data from 1997-2000
