ESOL & Reading Professional Development Advisory Group

The Office of Student Achievement through Language Acquisition offers Technical Assistance to districts inquiring about professional development for teachers, administrators and other staff; i.e. counselors and school psychologists.

All professional development is coordinated at the district level. The Florida Department of Education is equally committed to the improvement of schooling and life opportunities for all children, and to the professional education of practicing teachers.

Inservice and Training

SALA offers both Technical Assistance and Inservice Training for Teachers of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and for Psychologists, Social Workers and Administrators needing inservice component hours. These activities are coordinated with your school district. Please contact your local staff development department for further details.
