
With assistance
from the Palm
Beach County Chapter of
the American Red Cross, the Office
of Safe Schools and the
Florida
Institute of Education have
worked together on aligning the American Red Cross Masters
of Disaster curriculum
with the Sunshine State Standards. Age-appropriate copies
of the Masters of Disaster curriculum kits were distributed
to Florida's public schools in the Fall of 2000. The curriculum
is designed to help teachers integrate important disaster
safety information into their regular lesson plans for
the core subjects in the table below.
