Professional Development Resources and Technical Assistance

Special Note to Professional Development Providers

The Department of Education does not approve or recommend specific commercial professional development programs or courses to satisfy school or school district needs. To inquire about offering particular programs for professional development, providers should contact district professional development directors. Each school district in Florida, including the four Developmental Research Schools and some private school organizations, have Professional Development Directors (PDF, 144KB) who supervise and direct their district's professional development activities for instructional and non-instructional personnel. These directors ensure that local professional development activities are planned and implemented effectively.

District Assistance

Resources and technical assistance for district professional development directors are posted on the Florida School Leaders website.
