Educator Recruitment

The Bureau of Educator Recruitment and Professional Development coordinates statewide recruitment initiatives and administers programs recognizing outstanding teachers and school support personnel.

Recruitment efforts are focused on maintaining a centralized information service for individuals interested in teaching in Florida. This information covers the following:

The bureau also maintains a resume bank, through the online recruitment system of personnel interested in teaching in Florida. Districts that need a teacher in a particular subject may contact the Bureau of Educator Recruitment and Professional Development to obtain access to the resume bank. Other recruitment initiatives are the  Great Florida Teach-In, a job fair for teachers,Transition to Teaching Program, the Florida Troops to Teachers  program, and the Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA) program.
