The Bureau of Educator Recruitment and Professional Development coordinates statewide recruitment initiatives and administers programs recognizing outstanding teachers and school support personnel.
Recruitment efforts are focused on maintaining a centralized information service for individuals interested in teaching in Florida. This information covers the following:
- Teaching opportunities in Florida
- The general need for teachers by location and subject area. Specific teacher needs may be obtained by contacting the district personnel offices.
- Teacher salaries. (PDF)
The bureau also maintains a resume bank, through the online
recruitment system of personnel interested in teaching in
Florida. Districts that need a teacher in a particular subject
may contact the Bureau of Educator Recruitment and Professional
Development to obtain access to the resume bank. Other recruitment
