Welcome

The Office of Strategic Initiatives is housed within the Office of the Commissioner of Education.

The Office has responsibility for several units specific to the priorities of the State Board of Education and the Commissioner of Education; and also K-20 policy functions that support the internal and external infrastructure of a viable K-20 education system.

The Office implements both special projects/initiatives of the State Board of Education and the Commissioner and activities and policies related to the infrastructure of K-20 policies and procedures.
