Florida High School Students to Compete in State of Florida Astronaut Challenge
Tallahassee, Fla. The Florida Department of Education (DOE) in partnership with Walt Disney World Resort, Florida State University Schools, Coaxis International and the Challenger Learning Center will host the first-ever State of Florida Astronaut Challenge on Saturday, May 19, in Tallahassee. High school students from across the state will participate in the STEM-focused competition designed to test their knowledge of space shuttle operations, engineering, launch, orbit and landing of the Space Shuttle "Enterprise" flight simulator.
