Statement By: Education Commissioner Dr. Eric J. Smith Regarding the Observance of Veterans Day
“Tomorrow, students, teachers, and education stakeholders will pause to honor the men and women who work tirelessly to defend the freedoms we hold dear to our hearts. It is because of their countless sacrifices that our children have the opportunity to achieve success in the classroom, and turn their dreams into reality. On this most special of days, I offer my deepest respect and most sincere gratitude for our veterans, and all they have done and continue to do to keep us safe and preserve our way of life.”
