“What’s Working” Workshop Series Makes Final Stop in Orlando to Focus On Preparing Outstanding School Leaders
The Florida Department of Education (DOE) will hold its final workshop in the “What’s Working in Effective Teaching and Leadership” series today in Orlando. Jon Schnur, Co-Founder of New Leaders for New Schools, will be the featured speaker for the event. He will join State Board of Education member Mr. Roberto Martinez, Florida’s Commissioner of Education Dr. Eric J. Smith and Public Schools Chancellor Dr. Frances Haithcock to discuss effective ways to prepare outstanding school leaders.The meeting is completely open to the public and education stakeholders are highly encouraged to attend. In addition to the topic being covered, audience members will be encouraged to provide feedback on all aspects and subjects that have been covered as a part of the What’s Working series. These additional topics include things such as teacher evaluations, turning around low performing schools and supporting effective instruction.
For those who are unable to attend in person, the workshop will also be webcast live through the DOE website at www.fldoe.org.
