Campaign to Encourage School Bus Safety Awareness to Kick Off at the Capitol

The Florida Department of Education, along with the Florida Departments of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and Transportation, will be joined by Wakulla County students to recognize School Bus Safety Week in the Capitol Courtyard this week. The national campaign is designed to encourage communities statewide to conduct motorist awareness activities and recognizes the dedicated transportation professionals and bus operators who work hard each day to ensure the safe and dependable transportation of students. School buses from Leon and Wakulla counties and the Florida Licensing on Wheels mobile unit will also be on hand for public viewing.
