Commissioner Smith to Join U.S. Secretary of Education on Visit to KIPP Impact Middle School in Jacksonville
Florida Education Commissioner Dr. Eric J. Smith will join U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan tomorrow on a visit to KIPP Impact Middle School in Jacksonville. KIPP Impact is the first KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) school in Florida. The KIPP Program is a network of free, open-enrollment, college preparatory schools that serve 26,000 students in 99 schools across 20 states. The schools have a track record of preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and life.The visit will take place:
