“What’s Working” Workshop Heads to Miami for Open Discussion on Turning Around Low Performing Schools
The Florida Department of Education (DOE) will hold its fourth workshop in the “What’s Working in Effective Teaching and Leadership” series tomorrow in Miami. Brian Dassler, Principal of Renaissance High School and expert in the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP), will be the featured speaker for the event. He will join Florida’s Commissioner of Education Dr. Eric J. Smith and Public Schools Chancellor Dr. Frances Haithcock to discuss effective strategies for turning around low performing schools.For those who are unable to attend in person, the workshop will also be webcast live through the DOE website at www.fldoe.org.
