International Literacy Day to be Celebrated During Snowy Day at Maclay
In honor of International Literacy Day, Florida Department of Education Public Schools Chancellor Dr. Frances Haithcock, along with Florida Department of Environmental Protection Interim Secretary Mimi Drew, will participate in a reading event tomorrow at Tallahassee’s Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park. Students and families will share the story “The Snowy Day” by Ezra Jack Keats and enjoy snow cones in honor of the book. The celebration is one of many events at state parks throughout the month as part of Florida Literacy Month.The event will take place:
