Education Commissioner Smith to Hold Media Briefing Regarding Florida’s Victory in the Race to the Top Competition

Florida Education Commissioner Dr. Eric J. Smith will hold a media briefing today via conference call to discuss Florida’s victory in Phase 2 of the federal Race to the Top competition. Florida is eligible to receive up to $700 million to implement the bold, innovative education reform strategies that were proposed in the state’s application.
