Statement By: State Board of Education Chairman T. Willard Fair Regarding Governor Crist’s 2010-11 Proposed Pre-K-12 Budget
“I commend Governor Crist for the record Pre-K-12 budget he has proposed for 2010-11 and for the care he has taken to provide our schools with the support they need to continue their tremendous success. Florida’s education system has made great strides over the last decade, none of which would have been possible without a talented teaching pool, dedicated administrators and state leadership that recognizes the power and promise of an educated mind. Governor Crist clearly understands that an investment in our children’s future is an investment not only in their future livelihood, but the economic prosperity of our state.”
